Make a Difference - Volunteer!
The Children’s Place and Parent Education Center would not be the organization it is today if it was not for the large population of volunteers that have come through our doors. We employ very few paid part-time staff. All other tasks are performed by volunteers.
The majority of our volunteers participate in childcare with one of our teachers. Duties range anywhere from cleaning, helping with crafts, serving snacks, and ensuring child safety both indoors and out.
A volunteer is welcome to bring their own child with them during volunteer hours. During their assigned shift a volunteer's child stays free. In addition, volunteers earn free childcare coupons once they complete a set number of volunteer hours.
All volunteers must complete a TCP lead volunteer training as well as meet all state requirements. To find out when the next volunteer training session is, please check out our calendar.
Event Coordinator / Volunteer
If you haven't already noticed, there is always an event going on at TCP. We are always on the lookout for individuals who would like to participate in making our events grand. Possibilities include: event planning, food preparation, decorating, booth/game operator, and much more. If you are interested, please stop in and let us know or contact us online.
Behind the scenes of The Children's Place & Parent Education Center the board of directors is working hard to keep the mission of TCP and keep us growing. We are always looking for help. Some of the many areas include: budgeting, marketing, computers, fund-raising, grant writing, scheduling, publicity, event planning and childcare.
Interested individuals should contact us. Let us what kind of work you would like to do and we'll happily pair you up with a current committee member in your line of interest.
